What the hell is Cynerge?

We’ve always been a company built on collision and collaboration.

Cynerge started as an idea about balance, a play on synergy with a little more grit. Business and IT. Process and people. Structure and chaos. When those things collide, you either get friction or something new. We’ve learned how to make it something new.

The name is what we strive for. Synergy is the energy that happens when the two sides work together instead of staying in their own lanes. When the software becomes one with the workflow, not another thing you have to wrestle with to do your job. When things work, that’s average. But when there’s Cynerge everything moves together in the same direction, and that’s powerful.

That’s what we aim for.

We use a digital toolbox — software, cloud, GIS, and platforms — to solve problems that shouldn’t exist but do. The kind of problems that live in the space between departments, systems, or expectations. We don’t always start with the right answer, but we figure it out. We adapt. We get there.

We’ve rebuilt data centers. Migrated hundreds of applications. Taken over projects mid-crash and stuck the landing. We’ve also learned when to stop, regroup, and try a different angle. That’s part of the grit.

Over the years, we’ve built things that matter. Kalpa — a platform that helps schools and districts track professional development. LocalHop — a product that connects people with what’s happening in their local communities. Both came from seeing a need and building something useful.

We also earned our CMMI Level 3 and ISO 9001 certifications. Those took work. They prove that we care about how we deliver, not just what we deliver. Quality should be the one thing our customers never have to question.

Pontiac has been our base through all of it. Watching the city rebuild itself while we rebuilt what we do has been a reminder: progress is never clean. It’s messy. But it’s worth it.

Cynerge works because of the people here. The ones who can translate between business and tech. The ones who ask better questions. Who don’t panic, they just… get it done.

2025 tested that. Hard.
