Cynerge is currently seeking an Container Engineer to help make our team more effective. Our ideal candidate will work on building, scaling, and monitoring various highly complex applications of ours, and making our container orchestration cluster highly available.


  • Provide application development consulting services for moderate to complex client-facing projects
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and help translate these into technical requirements for the development team
  • Planning and documenting technical specs for features or system design
  • Designing, building and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements
  • Writing testable, scalable and efficient code and leading code reviews
  • Participate in the analysis and recommendation of application architecture, design, development, process flows, and operational practices for various projects
  • Design, code, test, and deploy customer-facing applications and websites using JavaScript frameworks, web API’s, Node or MVC backends
  • Create and execute unit tests using a test-driven development approach
  • Work with UI/UX designers to help create and then implement best design practices
  • Manage all application development and test artifacts in a Git repository
  • Participate in agile development efforts, including sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives
  • Participate in team code reviews and design reviews
  • Help our support team triage bugs and troubleshoot production issues
  • Adhere to Cynerge and client policies and procedures related to application design, development, and operation
  • Conduct application testing using automated tools and approaches, including the use of Jenkins and/or other software
  • Support customer engagement and follow-up


  • 5-7+ years’ work experience in a developer role performing substantially all the above responsibilities
  • Experience with “mobile-first” and “cloud-native” designs using technology such as ES5, ES6, rxjs, CSS, and HTML5
  • Experience writing and utilizing unit tests and end-to-end tests
  • Proficiency utilizing component driven JS Frameworks (Angular, Vue)
  • Experience with both SQL and NoSQL Databases
  • Experience with the usage of Github (or Git version control systems)
  • Experience working in an agile development environment is a plus
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and automated testing is plus
  • Self-starter with an ability to take a task, analyze what needs to be done, and deliver results in a timely manner (we don’t do “analysis paralysis”)
  • Detail oriented, team player with an ability to work with minimal direction
  • Excellent communication skills in a customer-facing work environment
  • Preferred – Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
